ARC COMMITTEE PROTOCOLS

Selection of Committee Members: The BOD will solicit members for the committee as vacancies occur.  The BOD will review the list of volunteers and select a chairperson and at least two committee members.  If at all possible, the chairperson should be an existing active member of the committee with prior experience.  The Board will schedule a time for the committee members to meet with the Board for the purpose of introducing Board and committee members.  Term of Committee:  There is not a specific term for the ARC.  Per the By-laws and covenants, the committee is selected and vacancies filled by the Board of Directors.  Committee Interaction:  Face to face contact is essential for the smooth operation of the ARC.  The chairperson will schedule a meeting with the other committee members to agree on how best to accomplish the committee's task.  The chairperson should ensure that each member has a role and clearly defined responsibilities.  In addtion, continual contact among committee members is essential when reviewing requests.
